An exciting postdoctoral position is available in the Hanks lab at the Duke Cancer Institute. The Hanks Lab’s goal is to discover key regulators that induce dendritic cell tolerogenesis in the tumor microenvironment. Toward that goal, we utilize multiple immunologic assays and transgenic mouse models of melanoma. We aim to perform a mechanistic evaluation of identified tolerogenic factors and examine their suitability as therapeutic targets. Duke University offers a highly stimulatory intellectual and collaborative environment for cutting-edge research. A recent PhD is required. Preference will given to those candidates with prior experience in immunology, mouse tumor models, dendritic cell biology, and cell signaling studies. Please visit our website (http://sites.duke.edu/hankslab/) to learn more about the Hanks lab and send your application to hanks004@mc.duke.edu.
