The laboratory of Prof. Jürgen Ruland (Technische Universität München) is offering positions for a Postdoctoral Fellow and a Research Scientist to study signal transduction pathways that control innate immune responses and investigate their contribution to inflammatory and neoplastic diseases (Immunity (2012) 36, 32-42; Nat Immunol. (2011) 12, 709-714; J Exp Med (2010) 207, 1031-1044; Nat Immunol. (2010) 11, 63-69; J Exp Med (2009) 206, 2313-2320; Nature (2009) 459, 433-436). To this end, we are utilizing a wide variety of molecular, cellular, immunological and transgenic techniques in a highly motivating environment.
Our international research group is supported by an ERC Advanced Grant and broadly embedded into the Munich biomedical research community. Applicants should have a MD or PhD or equivalent doctoral degree with at least 3 years of proven research experience in Molecular Biology, Immunology or Biochemistry. Prior experience with in vivo technologies is advantageous. The ideal candidate should have a strong publication record, be able to provide evidence of the ability to work in a team as well as show some experience in the supervision of graduate students or master students
