The University of Chicago’s Department of Radiation and Cellular Oncology is seeking qualified applicants for full time Postdoctoral Scholar positions. The primary activity of a Postdoctoral Scholar is academic research in association with a faculty member or team. Openings currently exist in research teams investigating the differentiation of human bladder tumor stem cells from primary samples as they relate to clinical outcome. Also, each differentiation state will be studied for the mechanism by which each tumor stem cell component contributes to the initiation and progression of bladder cancer. Radiation and chemotherapy analysis of each differentiation state will be investigated. Qualified applicants must possess a doctorate degree. Ideal candidates would possess a strong background in cell and molecular biology, with experience in cell sorting and FACS analysis, immunohistochemistry, and animal models of human cancer. The level of the position and compensation are dependent on qualifications and experience.
Interested candidates should submit curriculum vitae, bibliography, a statement of research, and contact information for at least three references to Dr. R. Weichselbaum, Dept. of Radiation and Cellular Oncology, 5758 S. Maryland Ave, MC9006, Chicago, IL. 60637 or via email to: dcorrea@radonc.uchicago.edu
