You will be part of a team of researchers based in Liverpool and at the Universities of Nottingham, Glasgow and Aberystwyth working on an AHRC Care for the Future project “Spaces of Experience and Horizons of Expectation: the implications of extreme weather events past, present and future”. You will work collaboratively with the team, using archival sources from local, regional and national collections along with oral history approaches to investigate the timing, frequency and impacts of historical and contemporary extreme weather events in various case study regions across the UK. You will have a PhD in Geography, History, Environmental History, History of Science, Anthropology or related area. A range of outreach activities are planned as part of the project of which you will be expected to contribute.
