Postdoctoral Scientist
Starting Salary £27,183 to £29,885 per annum
Band Salary £26,282 to £31,686 per annum
Applications are invited for a post-doctoral position in the Light Microscopy Facility at the MRC LMB, Cambridge.
The primary function of this position is to work within a programme developing applications of super-resolution light microscopy in the life sciences. Through this work, you will support and enhance the scientific effort of research groups in the LMB and collaborating organisations. You will develop expertise in sample preparation and labelling for super-resolution light microscopy, particularly development of novel labelling methods. You will also develop expertise in data processing and a range of software packages for super resolution image processing.

You will have a relevant PhD and experience in the use of light microscopes and image processing or analysis. You should also have a high level of computer literacy.
You will be awarded an MRC Career Development Fellowship, which is a three year training and development position for a postdoctoral scientist who has recently completed their doctoral studies or is moving into a new research discipline.
