A postdoctoral position is immediately available in Molecular Cancer Biology in the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department/Cancer Center at Georgia Regents University (GRU) in Augusta, GA USA.
Our laboratory focuses on the epigenetic aspect of self-renewal and cellular differentiation in blood born cancers like leukemia/lymphoma. We use cell culture and transgenic mouse models to study how the functional properties of transcription factors such as c-Myc dependent on the epigenetic state of the cell.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong background in cancer biology to join a young and dynamic research group. Interested individuals should have obtained their PhD or equivalent recently and have a strong publication track record in molecular or cellular biology.
In addition to standard molecular biology techniques, the project requires profound experience with tumor cell lines, shRNA knockdown strategies, FACS and transgenic mouse models of cancer.
The successful candidate must be able to independently plan and execute research activities, including data collection, evaluation and analysis. The candidate should have good communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to work in a dynamic team.
