The Division of Reproductive Sciences at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center has an opening for a Postdoctoral Fellow. The Namekawa laboratory is focused on elucidating the mechanisms and evolution of epigenetic programming events during germ cell development and early embryonic development. The current goal of the project is to identify novel factors and related pathways that control epigenetic programming during mouse reproduction. The laboratory especially focuses on the events occurring on sex chromosomes in spermatogenesis and epigenetic regulation of spermatogonial stem cells. With this new position, the laboratory would like to explore epigenetic regulation of spermatogonial stem cells. Candidates with a strong background in any of the following areas are encouraged to apply: stem cells, reproduction, epigenetics, spermatogenesis, mouse genetics, bioinformatics, genomics, biochemistry and/or cellular biology. The laboratory is looking for an energetic, highly self-motivated and creative individual who is eager to explore challenging research. PhD students graduating in the near future are also encouraged to apply.
