Two postdoctoral positions are available to study (1) the molecular mechanisms of neuron growth, differentiation and neuron degeneration associated with neurodegenerative disorders, including spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) and (2) the molecular mechanisms of cell growth and development. The project focuses on the functional analysis of protein-protein complexes in cell growth and development. These projects involve diverse in vitro and in vivo approaches, including biochemical, molecular, genetic (yeast and mouse models) and structure-function analysis. Candidates with strong background in cell and molecular biology and experience with mouse models should send their curriculum vitae with contact information of three references to: Laxman Gangwani, Ph.D. (Laxman.Gangwani@ttuhsc.edu), Center of Excellence for Neurosciences, Department of Biomedical Sciences, Paul L. Foster School of Medicine, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, El Paso, Texas 79905, USA. Additionally, please submit an application for the TTUHSC job site for Requisition numbers: 88212 (https://jobs.texastech.edu/postings/52356), 88309 (https://jobs.texastech.edu/postings/52728).
