An entry-level postdoctoral position is available to study human Respiratory Syncytial Virus at the Center for Veterinary Health Sciences, Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Oklahoma. The project will take molecular approaches and generate recombinant viruses, for studies of the RSV matrix and glycoproteins in virus replication and anti-viral immunity in cell culture and mouse models. The project is expected to contribute to the central goal of the laboratory to discover features of RSV biology that can be exploited for generation of an anti-RSV vaccine. Candidates must have a Ph.D in Virology or related discipline, cell culture experience, basic molecular biology skills, and basic experience with or interest in handling rodents. Experience in flow cytometry, immunology, and fluorescence microscopy are desirable. Candidates must have solid communication skills and be eligible to work in the United States.
