A postdoctoral fellowship is currently available in the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) working with Professor Sabrina M. Ronen. Research in the Ronen lab uses nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS), MR imaging (MRI) and a range of complementary biological and biochemical methods to monitor metabolism as a readout of oncogenic transformation and response to therapy. Studies are focused on pre-clinical cell and animal models with the goal of developing validated clinically translatable biomarkers of transformation and response.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in either magnetic resonance spectroscopy or metabolism and an interest in cancer biology, biochemistry, and/or cell physiology. The successful applicant will work as part of a collaborative team and have access to a wide range of state of the art equipment.
If interested please contact Dr. Sabrina M. Ronen e-mail address: sabrina.ronen@ucsf.edu(http://www.radiology.ucsf.edu/research/labs/ronen)
