ACS-NYU Children's Trauma Institute
Project Clinician – Postdoctoral Position
The Children's Trauma Institute is a collaborative effort between the New York City Administration for Children's Services and the New York University School of Medicine to use trauma-related knowledge to innovate in child welfare to improve outcomes for children and families. We are currently recruiting for a Bilingual (Spanish-English) project clinician to deliver an evidence-based mental health treatment for mothers in preventive services with histories of trauma/PTSD. While the primary responsibility will be conducting assessments, additional responsibilities for this position will include:
delivering manualized mental health intervention in child welfare settings;
coordinating intervention delivery with staff from ACS and contract agencies;
providing technical assistance and training to staff from ACS and contract agencies;
assisting with project management and organization;
assisting with database management and data analysis; and
assisting with papers and presentations.
Minimum requirements are a PhD or PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology and bilingual fluency in Spanish and English. License or a limited permit is required; supervision toward licensure will be provided.
Experience with research, project management, and collection of research assessments is desired, as is knowledge of child trauma and child welfare. Flexibility around work hours, and the ability to work some evenings, is preferred. Salary is commensurate with experience.
