HHMI - Janelia Farm Research Campus - Ashburn, VA
Job Summary:
The Koyama lab is looking for highly motivated and skilled experimentalists to elucidate how functional neuronal circuits are assembled during development using (adaptive) sensorimotor circuits in zebrafish as model systems. HHMI’s Janelia Farm Research Campus is a unique, world-class research community near Washington, D.C., dedicated to understanding the function of neural circuits and developing synergistic imaging technologies. Our highly collaborative interdisciplinary structure is designed to support high-risk, high-reward, innovative science in small lab groups.
Principal Responsibilities:
To study function and development of neuronal circuits involved in (adaptive) sensorimotor behaviors in zebrafish using a wide range of approaches including in vivo multiple patch recordings, multiphoton imaging and optogenetics.
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD in Neuroscience or related discipline
Strong background in electrophysiology (experience with multiple patch clamp or sharp electrode recordings is very welcome)
Ability to think independently and work collaboratively
