Position: Our laboratory focuses on translational medicine in glioma and other brain cancers. We are seeking for independent, ambitious, and self-motivated candidates for a postdoctoral fellow position to develop novel therapeutics and molecular diagnosis for glioma treatment.
Responsibility: On the basis of our prior studies, the candidate will lead projects focused on the roles of BET bromodomain proteins and other epigenetic regulators in glioma, particularly in cancer stem cells. The project will apply molecular, cellular, and bioinformatics tools to develop new epigenetic therapy, design rational drug combinations, and identify predictive biomarkers.
Qualifications: The candidate is expected to have his/her doctoral degree awarded in a biomedical research-related discipline, and demonstrate a proven track record of high-quality scientific research, as evidenced by publication record and letters of recommendation. Experience in epigenetics and cancer genetics is preferred.
Application: Interested applicants should send a cover letter explaining their research interest and career goals, an updated CV, and contact for 2 or more referees to jialiang.wang@vanderbilt.edu. Successful candidate will receive salary and benefits commensurate with prior experience and qualifications.
