AgCenter Postdoctoral Researcher

Candidate will conduct an independent program of research on the use of insecticide
and hormone seed treatments to protect rice from biotic and abiotic stresses. The incumbent is expected to
coordinate lab activities involving projects with graduate students, undergraduate student workers and other
collaborators. experience in insect culture and execution of greenhouse and lab bioassays to determine activities
of insecticides against rice pests is also required. A solid understanding of experimental design and statistics will
also be needed.
Required Qualifications:
A Ph.D in Entomology with previous experience using seed treatments to protect rice from insect and abiotic stresses.

Additional Position Information:
This is a grant-funded, non-tenure track position. Funding must be available for any continuation of appointment.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The LSU AgCenter has an attractive benefits package with a wide variety of benefit options.
