The Dundr Laboratory at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science is seeking a motivated and creative candidate for a postdoctoral position in a collaborative project with the Hager laboratory at the National Cancer Institute (NCI/NIH) to study the functional relationship between the formation of specific nuclear bodies (Nat. Cell Biol. 13:167, 2011; Nat .Commun.. 3:866, 2012; Curr. Opin. Cell Biol. 24:415-22, 2012) and organization of the human genome in health and cancer by using the circular chromosome conformation capture (4C) assay. The candidate will work on this collaborative project in the Laboratory of Receptor Biology and Gene Expression at NCI/NIH in Bethesda. This laboratory has extensive experience in 4C technology and advanced cell imaging methods [Nature 484:69-74, 2012; Genome Res. 23:462-72, 2013; Genome Research 21:697, 2011; Curr. Opin. Cell Biol. 22:305, 2010; JBC 284:6048, 2009]. Applicants should have strong experience in molecular biology techniques. Expertise in chromatin isolation, qRT-PCR, ChIP-seq, RNA-seq, microarrays, cell culture, imaging, is a strong asset. Candidates with a background in chromatin biology and gene expression are particularly encouraged to apply. Highly qualified applicants, who hold a recent doctoral degree, should send a CV, names of three references, and short statement outlining their suitability for this position to mirek.dundr@rosalindfranklin.edu or hagerg@dce41.nci.nih.gov.
