A postdoctoral Research Fellow position is available immediately in the Hemostasis and Thrombosis group in the Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Research Foundation.
The Starczynowski laboratory is interested in understanding how abnormal gene function in blood-forming cells contributes to hematological malignancies. Specifically the lab investigates the genetic alterations and molecular mechanisms contributing to Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS) and Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). We are looking for a postdoc with an interest in signal transduction, coding and non-coding RNAs, cancer genetic networks, hematopoietic stem cells, immune deregulation in cancer, and/or mouse cancer genetic models.
Applicants should have a doctoral degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Immunology, or related field, and a strong interest in cancer research. Highly self-motivated applicants that have a track record of publications (first-authored publications in respected journals) are encouraged to apply. Applicants eligible for postdoctoral fellowships, and with experience in mouse genetics and flow cytometry are a plus.
