This is a unique training opportunity for a post-doctoral fellow interested in pulmonary immunology and lung cancer immunotherapy with a specific emphasis on immunosurveillance for lung cancer by natural killer cells. This is a combined training opportunity between the laboratories of Dr. Alexander Sasha Krupnick (http://www.lungimmunolab.wustl.edu) and Wayne Yokoyama. The projects involve the investigation of genetic and environmental factors leading to natural killer cell dysfunction in lung cancer as well as mechanisms leading to the evasion of the adaptive immune response by lung cancer.
Potential trainees must have an MD and/or PhD degree and an interest in dedicating at least three years to this post-doctoral fellowship. The candidate must have previous training in immunology with a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals. The candidate must be motivated and able to advance a project with direct translational applications in lung cancer immunotherapy.
