Description
Two Postdoc (or Research Fellow) positions are available at the MEMS and Nanotechnology Laboratory, School of Mechanical Engineering, Chonnam National University, South Korea. The employment contract shall be for one year, renewable annually upon evaluation.
You will be conducting research and development in the area of Simulation and Controlling for Smart Materials, Structures and Systems. We have many different projects from both government and industry on the designing and fabrication of smart sensor, bio-sensor and miniaturized energy harvester so on. Specifically, the simulation part includes structural analysis for mechanical systems, static &dynamic analysis by software like Ansys, Comsol, Abaques, etc. In terms of the controlling, Lab-View based system control and programming skills for mechanical systems are strongly desired. We welcome the candidates who have sufficient experiences in either simulation or controlling as above mentioned. The candidates who are familiar with both of the two areas would be prior considered.The salary is highly competitive (around 2,500,000 KRW/m per year before tax). Requirements
(1) Ph. D. degree in a related discipline;
(2) Sufficient research and development experience in simulation or controlling;
(3) Excellent programming skills and being familiar with the Lab-View platform is an asset;
(4) Excellent English writing and speaking skills.
