Post-Doctoral Research Assistant
Applications are invited for a Post-Doctoral Research assistant to join the Inositide Signalling Group. The post is to support Prostate Cancer research studies, funded by Prostate Cancer UK, on the role of phosphoinositide 3-kinase isoforms in prostate cancer. The post will be based primarily in the Blizard Institute at Whitechapel.
Candidates should have a relevant PhD or equivalent with experience in cellular and molecular biology, and in vivo experiments. Previous work with patient samples in a translational setting would also be advantageous. The candidate will also be expected to present data and undertake close collaborative work with multiple partners.
The post is full time for 36 months (starting as soon as possible). Starting salary will be £31,113-£33,709 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, final salary pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
