A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the McCarty lab at Institute of Molecular Medicine (University of Texas-Health Science Center) to study the role of signaling pathways in lymphoma. Experimental models focus on molecular interactions of genes in various cell lines and primary cells in the context of stem cells and development of B cell lymphoma. We only seek the candidates who are interested in pursuing their career in hematological malignancies.
Requirements: Highly motivated PhD, MD/PhD or MD with a solid background in molecular and cell biology. The project will require knowledge regarding reactive oxygen species (ROS), cloning techniques, generating mutant constructs to test interactions between genes, luciferase assays, hypoxia and cell culture techniques. Must have a fluent English speaking and writing ability.
The McCarty lab is a part of a vibrant stem cell community, the Center for Stem Cell and Regenerative Disease at the Institute of Molecular Medicine (IMM) at UT Medical Center in Houston. Interested applicants should send
