The group of Dr Ulrich Keyser, Department of Physics, University of Cambridge, invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate to continue efforts funded by Oxford Nanopore Technologies with the aim to develop novel nanopores based on DNA origami nanopores. The goal is to understand the interactions of molecules with DNA origami nanopores and use optical techniques for controlling molecular transport.
The project is already running and the candidate is expected to start as soon as possible. The candidate should have a PhD in physics or submitted his thesis in soft matter and polymer physics, and experience in resistive pulse sensing with micro- and nanocapillaries, design and development of optical systems for combining fluorescence imaging with ionic current sensing in nanocapillaries and design and assembly of DNA origami nanopores.
