You will be based in the NDM Research Building in the Respiratory Medicine group working alongside the other members of the research team, laboratory staff, clinical fellows, research nurses and students.
As a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Respiratory Diseases you will be responsible for carrying out research for a designated project, work independently and as a member of the group and to pursue actively further funding streams. You will be expected to provide guidance to less experienced members of the research group, including research assistants, technicians, and PhD and project students.
You will hold a PhD/DPhil in relevant biological science together with relevant experience and have previous laboratory experience in cell processing and inflammatory cell assessment in research or clinical department setting and have laboratory skills including tissue culture, cell staining and cell separation.
The Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Respiratory Diseases post is full-time, fixed-term for 1 year in the first instance.
