Eligibility:
Completion of doctoral degree between July 1, 2012 and July 1, 2015. The Program is limited to US citizens and permanent residents. Academic excellence, prior record of accomplishments, potential to bring diverse ideas to Duke University and to interact successfully with a broad range of differences among faculty and students, and the identification and willingness of the sponsoring mentor, will form the major selection criteria. Preference will be given to individuals who receive PhD at an institution other than Duke University.
Appointment and Salary: Individuals will be appointed as Postdoctoral Associates (see Postdoctoral Policy, http://www.postdoc.duke.edu/policies-and-forms, and should be prepared to start the position between July 1 and August 31, 2015. Starting salary is based on the NIH recommended postdoctoral salaries commensurate with the experience of the candidate. An additional $5000 will be available to enhance the research experience, such as travel, registration and expenses associated with attending professional meetings or workshops, membership dues for professional societies, and journal subscriptions.
Fields of Discipline:
Any discipline available at Duke University, but preference will be given to those where other options for postdoctoral funding are limited.
