Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated candidate with interests in research project involving “Wound Healing in Biofilm Infection”. Our laboratory has general interests in applying nano-bioengineering and tissue engineering strategies to promote wound healing in diabetic wounds associated with biofilm infection. In this position, the postdoc scholar will engage in a research to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of nano-materials for resolving biofilm infection by employing both in vitro biofilm culture study and in vivo mouse model of wound infection (Kim et al. Annals of Biomed Eng., 41:598-609, 2013, and Kim et al. Blood, 117:3343-3352, 2011 ). The ideal candidate for this project should have experience in, but not limited to, one of following areas.
(1) Wound healing research using animal models
(2) Interaction between immune cells and bacterial biofilms
(3) Biomaterials for wound healing
Applicant qualifications include experience in cell culture, confocal microscopy, flow cytometry, tissue histology and immunohistochemistry.
