Position 1:
Job Title: Postdoctoral Research Associate
Responsibilities: Under supervision of the Plant Pathology faculty member, the postdoc in this position is expected to conduct research experiments, collect data, calculate or record results, prepare reports, and write journal articles. The responsibilities of the position are to study plant defense inducers, develop products to control citrus HLB or greening based on our patented findings, and test their effect on control of HLB.
Qualifications: The candidates should have strong background on product development, adjuvants, chemistry, plant physiology, or plant defense inducers. A significant record of productivity as demonstrated through refereed publications is preferred. Previous experience in industry is desired, but not required. The candidate should demonstrate a commitment to work cooperatively, must be able to work independently as well as part of a team, have a willingness to learn, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
