Two Postdoctoral Fellowships: In Protein NMR and in Molecular and Cell Biology : Montreal, Canada
We have 2 positions available for postdoctoral fellows.
Postdoctoral fellowship in protein NMR:
Successful candidates should have experience expressing and purifying protein as well as experience in routine protein NMR methods. Additional competences (molecular biology, experience in other biophysical techniques) would be an advantage.
Postdoctoral Fellowship in RNA biology:
Successful candidates should have solid background in molecular and cell biology, a good publication record, high motivation and strong communication skills. Candidates with experience in any aspects of RNA metabolism are encouraged to apply. Desirable skills include strong background in molecular biology techniques (such as RNA manipulation, qPCR, Western blot, IP, tissue culture techniques, immunofluorescence, confocal microscopy).
Candidates should not be more than 2 years since obtaining their PhD. PhD students who are nearing graduation may also apply. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
Both positions are in Dr Katherine Borden’s laboratory at the Institute for Research in Immunology and Cancer at the University of Montreal (www.iric.ca) and will focus on novel areas of RNA metabolism that are related to cancer.
