The MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology is one of the birthplaces of molecular biology and is an internationally renowned centre for fundamental biomedical research.

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Scientist position in the group of Dr Ingo Greger to study glutamate receptor-mediated synaptic plasticity. In collaboration with Professors Ole Paulsen (Cambridge University) and Jason Chin (MRC LMB) the project is aimed at elucidating AMPA/NMDA receptor dynamics during synaptic plasticity using orthogonal chemistry, electrophysiology and super-resolution microscopy techniques.
For this interdisciplinary project, candidates should have a PhD and good experience with electrophysical recording techniques. Familiarity with imaging techniques would be advantageous.
Successful applicants will be awarded a 3-year Career Development Fellowship/MRC Postdoctoral Training Scheme. The fellowship is a training and development position for a post-doctoral scientist who has recently completed their doctoral studies, or is moving into a new research discipline.
