Postdoctoral Fellow : Aurora, CO, United States
We are looking for a qualified Postdoctoral Fellow to work on functional analysis of gonadotropin biosynthesis, secretion and action in gonads using multiple approaches. These include transgenic, cell culture, molecular biological, genetics, biochemical and other physiological approaches. The position reports to Dr. T. Rajendra Kumar in the Division of Reproductive Sciences, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology on the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO.
Specific Position Duties:
Research (90%)
- Work under supervision of faculty on research projects including performing experiments, collecting and analyzing data for grants and publications.
- Interpretation of experimental results, data and statistical analyses.
- Collaborate with mentor and other postdocs/students in the lab.
- Assist in maintaining lab equipment and laboratory maintenance.
- Assist in maintaining adequate supplies to ensure continuity of research experiments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Teaching (10%)
- Teach/supervise students, research associates and other post-doctoral fellows.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
PhD in relevant scientific area including Molecular Biology, Genetics or Physiology
Experience with small animal models
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to work independently
A strong work ethic and a commitment to becoming an independent scientist
Excellent skills in scientific writing
