Postdoctoral Fellowship in Regenerative Medicine/Biomedical Science, UC San Francisco : SAN FRANCISCO, CA, United States
A postdoctoral position is funded to study cellular senescence in aging and injury repair. The Peng Lab is part of the Cardiovascular Research Institute at UCSF, and we are focusing on the role of mesenchymal progenitors in maintaining organ function. Although the focus of our lab is on adult tissue regeneration, applicants with developmental biology background are strongly encouraged to apply. The project will use sophisticated mouse genetic tools to characterize senescence in vivo, and dissect the role of senescence in modulating organ function and repair. Successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop new genetic models and apply single-cell sequencing technology to her/his studies. Qualified candidates should have experience in maintaining mouse colonies with complex genetic background, cell and molecular biology as well as flow cytometry. Send curriculum vitae and references to Tien Peng, M.D. Cardiovascular Research Institute/Lung Biology Center, University of California San Francisco. Email: tien.peng@ucsf.edu
