Postdoctoral Research Fellow : Edinburgh, United Kingdom
£31,656 – £37,768
MRC Centre for Regenerative Medicine at the University of Edinburgh is a world-leading centre for multi-disciplinary research in mammalian stem cell biology and regenerative medicine. We are seeking an independent and motivated postdoctoral fellow to work in the group led by Dr. Keisuke Kaji who has developed a high-resolution analysis system to dissect molecular mechanisms of induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cell generation (Nature, June 2013). Moreover, the lab has recently developed a mouse DamID system to reveal transcription factor binding sites during reprogramming with limited cell numbers. Using these systems, together with CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing technology, his laboratory aims understanding the molecular mechanisms of the reprogramming process and improving the reprogramming technology. Through this work the team aspires to reveal how to control cell fate. The post is available on a fixed term basis for up to two years initially.
