A postdoctoral position is available immediately at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine in the laboratory of Sergei Nechaev. The NIH sponsored position is suitable for someone interested in the development of new global sequencing technologies to address a critical need for improved transcriptome profiling of cancer-related specimens. A qualified applicant will enjoy a freedom to choose a project of his/her choice in an area related to epigenetics and mechanisms of gene regulation. This fully benefited position offers competitive compensation commensurate with applicant’s previous experience. The University of North Dakota is located in the city of Grand Forks that retains many of the cultural opportunities of a larger community but with a lower cost of living.

Applicants must have experience in at least one of the areas that include molecular biology, genome biology, or computational biology, as demonstrated by authored products such as patents or peer-reviewed publications. Successful applicant will lead an independent project of his or her choice in a highly supportive and collaborative environment that provides assistance with research projects as well as preparation of grants and manuscripts.
