Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Fanconi Anemia proteins in Hematopoietic Stem Cell Development
The Division of Experimental Hematology and Cancer Biology have an opening for a Postdoctoral Fellow. The Pang laboratory is focused on elucidating the mechanisms by which the Fanconi Anemia proteins regulate hematopoietic stem cells in the context of bone marrow failure and leukemia development. The goal of the research is to identify novel pharmaceutical targets for the treatment of patients with Fanconi Anemia and other blood diseases. The project will utilize cellular, genetic, and molecular techniques to identify and characterize critical pathways that regulate hematopoietic stem cell function, using knockout mice and xenotransplant models. Candidates must have a PhD degree and substantial experience with contemporary techniques in molecular and cell biology. Prior experience in hematological research and techniques including cell culture, FACS, immunostaining and murine models are preferred.
Details about project areas can be found at: http://www.cincinnatichildrens.org/research/divisions/e/ex-hem/labs/pang/default/
The Division is a high-energy, dynamic, and interactive environment that is interested in recruiting self-motivated individuals with the drive to succeed and the desire to be competitive at the international level. Candidates with a strong background in cell biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, informatics, genomics and signal transduction are encouraged to apply.
