Physics Graduate Placement
The System Devices team at Sharp Laboratories of Europe has had significant involvement and success in the development of semiconductor laser diodes which are used in many products such as image pro-jectors and BluRay disc players. Our vision is to shape the next generation of these laser diodes and their applications.
The emphasis of our work is on the conception, designs, development and test of our new technology ideas. As part of our expanding team of excellent physics and optics professionals we have an oppor-tunity for a highly creative, motivated, flexible and resourceful individual with a strong technical back-ground and an analytical approach to problem solving.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Development of simulation tools and conceptions of laser diodes designs
- Data analysis and reporting
Requirements:
- Is currently studying or has recently graduated in Physics, Electronic Engineering or Computer Sci-ence in their 2nd or 3rd year.
- Can demonstrate knowledge in semiconductor laser physics
- Is comfortable with text based coding
An advantage for this role would be:
- To have some experience of working with physics based simulator
