The Department of Cell Biology and Molecular Medicine at RUTGERS – New Jersey Medical School and the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Rutgers University are seeking a postdoctoral fellow to work between the institutions on the development of cardiovascular instrumentation and drug delivery formulations in order to treat vascular stiffness and mitigate heart failure. Qualifications: M.D. and/or Ph.D. and/or DVM in a related field required, including at least 3 years of research experience relating to bioengineering/biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, biomaterials, and mechanical engineering. Must possess good skills in instrumentation used for hemodynamics and be able to direct physiological studies using this instrumentation. Must possess good skills in computer and data analysis. U.S. citizen, green card, or visa required. Must be available to work flexible hours including weekends when necessary to meet deadlines.
Responsibilities: Under direction of the three Principal Investigators, maintain and design equipment involved for animal physiology measurements, formulate and test drug delivery strategies, and conduct research projects involving physiology and bioengineering.
