The University of Zurich offers a Postdoc position within the University Research Priority Project “Translational Cancer Research”.
The University Research Priority Project (URPP) “Translational Cancer Research” (www.cancer.uzh.ch) aims to connect basic, translational and clinical cancer research and consists of a consortium of 17 principal investigators and associated members, who are leaders in the field of cancer research.
The available project will address questions related to radiotherapy, metastasis, immune response and exosomes. We expect that the successful candidate will shape and drive this project, and build a bridge between basic and physician scientists promoting a truly translational approach.
The successful candidate for this prestigious URPP-fellowship will work in the laboratory of Prof. Dr. Maries van den Broek and collaborate closely with basic and physician scientists within the URPP. He/she will be a member of the Institute of Experimental Immunology (www.immunology.uzh.ch), which is located on the Irchel campus of the University of Zurich.
We expect a strong interest in interdisciplinary science and linking fundamental and clinical research as well as the ability to develop and drive a research project. Candidates should hold a PhD, MD-PhD or equivalent degree in life sciences.
