We are seeking a highly motivated and creative individual for a postdoctoral position in cancer biology at Yale School of Medicine. The candidate will join a team focused on understanding crosstalk mechanisms within theDNA damage response network that are important for preventing genomic instability and tumorigenesis. The research aims to study the role of theTFIIH factor, XPD, in triggering the appropriate reaction at the intersection ofDNA repair and apoptotic pathways following damage. The postdoctoral research will be performed in a highly interdisciplinary and collaborative environment with world-class experts and facilities. This research program emphasizes translational studies in oncology and provides numerous opportunities for education and training in cancer biology.
Candidates should have a PhD in the biological sciences, previous experience with techniques in molecular biology, biochemistry and experience with mammalian systems. A strong background in DNA repair, cell signaling, and post-translational modifications would be advantageous. Applicants should be self-motivated and organized in addition to having great communication skills, and a collaborative spirit. Recent PhD graduates are encouraged to apply.
