The Developmental and Cellular Biology Group (led by Prof. Jens Schwamborn) at the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine utilizes human stem cells for modeling and experimental treatment of neurodegenerative disease. Projects in the lab are at the interface of systems biology and bio-medical research. In particular we aim on developing novel, complex in vitro models that are specific for the human brain. Our main disease model is Parkinson’s disease.
Profile:
In this particular project we are looking for a postdoctoral researcher that has:
· Strong interest in further developing human patient specific brain organoids for in vitro disease modelling
· Willingness to take over some project management / leadership duties
· Significant experience in either human pluripotent stem cell work, CRISPR/Cas9 system, alpha-Synuclein aggregation or high-throughput/high-content screening is mandatory
· Is highly motivated and shares our passion for research
· Interest in acquiring new skills and wishes to be part of an international team.
· Excellent communication, team-working and interpersonal skills
· Very good command of the English language (writing and speaking)
Application
Online applications (in English) should contain the following documents:
· Cover letter
