The Department of Strategy & Enterprise in the Lincoln International Business School is enjoying an exciting period of expansion. You will be a member of the Department of Strategy and Enterprise which has enduring relationships with business based on its flexible and responsive approach to research and teaching. We have a thriving curriculum on campus as well as a successful work-based distance learning suite of programmes, especially in Engineering Management and Logistics Management to the UK Armed Forces.
We are looking to appoint TWO new faculty in Logistics and Operations Management, one of which may be appointed as Reader/Principal Lecturer for a suitably qualified person (depending on experience in teaching, research and leadership), to join our team of seven faculty in the logistics and operations area. You will be expected to deliver modules in our existing curriculum, help expand our logistics and operations portfolio and contribute to research and industry engagement.
We welcome applications from all areas of Logistics and Operations Management, but would be particularly interested in applicants with expertise in two or more of the below areas:
Procurement/Logistics/Supply Chain Management
Operations Management
Project Management
Engineering/systems management
Business Statistics and Analytics
The department welcomes early career faculty to consider a post-doctoral position with us, or those with significant industry experience who wish to develop an academic career. For the senior roles, candidates should possess a PhD or equivalent experience, preferably with a track record in the delivery of modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, demonstrate leadership, and be prepared to supervise PhD students. To be appointed as Reader, evidence is required of successful recent income generation and significant research outputs. You should be able to demonstrate a commitment to maintaining the University’s high standards in teaching and learning. You should be a good team worker who will be able to both align with and complement our existing research and professional practice activity.
