The “Cancer Therapy” group at the Karolinska Institutet – SciLifeLab, led by Professor Oscar Fernandez-Capetillo is now looking for a postdoctoral scientist to join the group. Based on our prior experience, our research focuses on phenotypic screenings aiming to find genes or chemicals that can be of help in fighting against age-related diseases currently lacking a cure.

Duties
We are seeking a highly motivated candidate with a recent Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology or other relevant fields. The candidate must have a strong background in cancer research and excellent skills in various molecular biology techniques and mammalian cell culture. Complete fluency in both written and spoken English is a request. The candidate’s communication and personal skills will be highly valued.
Entry requirements
A person is eligible for a position as Postdoctoral Researcher if he or she has obtained a PhD no more than seven years before the last date of employment as postdoc.
Type of scholarship A scholarship for carrying out postdoctoral research can be granted for a maximum of two years within a four year period following the receipt of a doctoral degree or equivalent.
The amount is tax free and it is set for twelve months at a time, paid out on a six months basis.

A complete curriculum vitae, including date of the thesis defence, title of the thesis, previous academic positions, academic title, current position, academic distinctions, and committee work
A complete list of publications
A summary of current work (no more than one page)
