The Integrative Personalized Medicine Laboratory at Stanford (http://pimed.stanford.edu) has an opening for a highly creative and motivated postdoctoral scholar with an interest in advanced image processing and machine learning methods to assess disease presence, progression and treatment response in clinical applications. The project is focused on identifying radiologic signatures of cancers and aggressive diseases via multi-modal data fusion, such as radiology-pathology integration and radiogenomics. Although the developed methods are meant to be general and not specific to a certain disease, their application is focused on critical and relevant clinical problems in a variety of oncologic and non-oncologic diseases. The project has the potential for highly informative and very productive findings in terms of publication and innovative clinical implications. The successful candidate will join the Department of Radiology, Division of Integrative Biomedical Imaging Informatics at Stanford University and will work with a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians, statisticians, computer scientists, and trainees. This position is available immediately.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Biomedical Informatics or related fields; They must be proficient in image processing and machine learning methods applied to medical data, e.g., radiology, pathology, or genomics.
Candidates must have prior experience in software development and C++/python programming, and be familiar with toolkits, e.g., ITK, opencv, sklearn.
