Postdoctoral Research Associate
Washington University School of Medicine
Two Postdoctoral Research Associate positions are open in the laboratory of Dr. Nima Mosammaparast, Department of Pathology & Immunology, Washington University in St. Louis, USA.
The Mosammaparast lab is seeking two postdoctoral researchers to work on mechanistic understanding of DNA damage responses, using human cells as the primary model system, and its application to cancer therapy. Specifically, the group would like to expand its understanding of a novel alkylation damage signaling pathway (Brickner et al., Nature, 2017), its relationship with other pathways, such as inflammatory signaling (Zhao et al., Molecular Cell, 2018) and DNA replication fork dynamics (Byrum et al., J. Cell Biol., 2019). The successful candidate should have a strong publication record, with a background in molecular biology, cell biology, and/or biochemistry. The postdoctoral researcher will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic group integrated into the DNA Metabolism and Repair (DMR) program, an interdisciplinary basic research group involving approximately fifteen labs at Washington University and Siteman Cancer Center. Additional information on being a postdoc at Washington University in St. Louis can be found at postdoc.wustl.edu/prospective-postdocs.
Interested candidates should send their CV’s, a one-page research statement, and three reference contacts to Dr. Nima Mosammaparast via email (nima@wustl.edu).
