Postdoctoral Fellow
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Department of Molecular & Cellular Oncology
Post-doctoral Positions: The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center
Research Field: Epigenetics and Cancer
Disciplines: Molecular Biology and Cancer Biology
Postdoctoral positions are immediately available. These positions offer an extraordinary opportunity to explore epigenetic regulation of cancer and stem cells. The research in my laboratory focuses on understanding the roles of epigenetic modifiers with an emphasis on histone methylation modifiers and their partner proteins in regulating cancer-epigenetic events and stem cell characteristics.
On the basis of the studies that have provided novel insights into chromatin and cancer-epigenetic field (Nature Commun. 2019; Molecular Cell 2018; Molecular Cell 2016; Nucl. Acids. Res 2016a & 2016b, J. Clin. Invest. 2013; Genes & Dev 2012; Cell 2007; Science 2007; Nature 2005), our work will seek to identify novel functions of histone methylation modifiers and their new partner proteins in tumor suppression pathways and tumorigenesis and stem cell properties. We enjoy a close working relationship with many outstanding groups in The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Baylor College of Medicine, and other prestigious institutes in the Texas Medical Center.
A Ph.D. in cancer biology or molecular biology is required. Experience and publications in the field of epigenetics are also required. Please understand that applicants who are deemed suitable for the laboratory would be contacted for further information. Salary will be determined by the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
