　　The Aghi lab is looking for postdoctoral fellows to assist us in conducting studies that will be part of two recently funded R01 grants that aim to definemechanisms of glioblastoma invasion and angiogenesis, mechanisms of glioblastoma cell survival, and mechanisms of glioblastoma resistance to treatments, including radiation and anti-angiogenic therapy. 　　Applicants not meeting the following requirements should not bother applying as they will not receive responses: (1) recently earned MD and/or PhD degree(s) from a U.S. University in areas of the biological sciences relevant to this research (such as biochemistry, bioinformatics, molecular biology, immunology); (2) a strong background in cell biology, molecular biology, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, stem cell biology, and rodent work,;(3) multiple first author publications written by the applicant and published or accepted for publication in reputable peer reviewed journals; (4) the ability to write competitive scientific grants that will procure funding for the applicant during the postdoctoral fellowship and will allow the candidate to eventually transition to independent positions as academic faculty or within industry ; (5) the ability to work long and flexible hours in order to accomplish these goals; (6) fluency in English and the interpersonal skills required to teach junior members of the laboratory; and (7) applicants should be US citizens, permanent residents, or most currently hold a valid US work visa.Experience in cancer bioinformatics, CRISPR library screens, or small molecule screens is strongly desired.

　　UCSF standards (which are higher than NIH standards) will be used in setting the pay scale.
