Postdoc in mammalian developmental biology
Dept of Chemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Gothenburg
The Department of Chemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Gothenburg, announces a postdoctoral scholarship in mammalian developmental biology.
The postdoctoral fellow will be part of the Carlsson lab and use a combination of the Cre-loxP system and in vitro methods to study the function of forkhead transcription factors in development and physiology of the murine cerebral vasculature. Analysis may include FACS sorting of primary cells, RNAseq, ChIPseq, characterization of hits from 2-hybrid screens, histological methods, and various in vitro assays based on cell culture.
The Carlsson lab studies the role of forkhead transcription factors in mammalian development and disease using a combination of genetic mouse models and human genetics. The successful candidate should be highly motivated, capable of independently planning, performing and analyzing experimental research, and experienced in molecular and cell biology. Experience of animal research and genetic mouse models is an advantage. Proficiency in English, spoken and written, is a requirement.
