　　The Institute of Medical Microbiology and Hygiene (chair: Prof. A. Dalpke) at the Universitätsklinikum Carl Gustav Carus, Technische Universität Dresden, Germany, is focusing on basic research in the field of Infection & Immunity.

　　To strengthen the research activities we are seeking for a highly motivated

　　Postdoc (f/m/x)

　　This full-time Position is planned for 36 months and according to the TV-L dispositions.

　　The Postdoc will study interactions of the microbiome with innate immune and epithelial cells within the airways. We are studying ecology of polymicrobial infections (e. g. in Cystic fibrosis) and their interaction with local immunity. Experiences in microbiome analysis (including NGS data) and bioinformatics are required.

　　The candidates will be further responsible for the future development of the research activities, establishment of local and (inter)national cooperation, presentation of data at conferences, supervision tasks and teaching. Further information can be found here.

　　Your Profile:

　　·         PhD degree in biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, medicine or related discipline

　　·         Specific knowledge as requested for the positions

　　·         Experience with in vivo infection models and FELASA B qualification are advantageous

　　·         Good knowledge of written and spoken English

　　·         Ability and motivation to work independently and to develop a research field

　　·         Team working skills
