  在比利時布魯塞爾Iribhm由Benjamin Beck領導的“食管癌和化生特征”實驗室(https://www.benjamin beck lab.com)有一個獲得資助的兩年博士后職位(https://iribhm.org)。我們的實驗室有興趣通過多種技術和幾種轉基因小鼠模型來描述化生的發(fā)展及其向癌癥發(fā)展的機制。

  項目大綱

  食管柱狀化生是腺癌的主要危險因素之一。我們的目的是了解食管細胞是如何經(jīng)歷一個轉分化過程來產(chǎn)生化生的,以及后者是如何發(fā)展成腺癌的。為此,我們將使用基于轉基因小鼠模型、器官培養(yǎng)、條件敲除和過度表達系統(tǒng)、facs分類細胞的表觀遺傳和轉錄測序以及crispr/cas9基因編輯的多學科方法。我們建議挑戰(zhàn)肥胖、慢性炎癥和致癌作用對柱狀化生向腸道化生和癌癥進展的影響。

  Description

  A funded two-year postdoctoral position is available in the “Characterization of Esophageal Cancers and Metaplasia” lab (https://www.benjaminbecklab.com) headed by Benjamin Beck at the IRIBHM, Brussels, Belgium (https://iribhm.org). Our lab is interested in characterizing the mechanisms involved in the development of metaplasia and their progression into cancer by using a variety of techniques and several transgenic mouse models.

  Project Outline

  Columnar metaplasia of the esophagus constitutes one of the main risk factors for adenocarcinoma. We aim at understanding how esophageal cells undergo a process of transdifferentiation to generate metaplasia and how the latter then progress into adenocarcinoma. To this end, we will use a multidisciplinary approach based on transgenic mouse models, organoid culture, conditional knockout and overexpression systems, epigenetic and transcriptomic sequencing of FACS sorted cells as well as CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing. We propose to challenge the impact of obesity, chronic inflammation and oncogenic hits on the progression of columnar metaplasia towards intestinal metaplasia and cancer.

  Profile

  The applicants of any nationality must hold a PhD and/or a MD degree (for less than 7 years) and should be highly motivated. The applicants should have a strong background in cancer biology. Technical expertise in handling transgenic mouse models, organoids and/or CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing will be of advantage. Excellent communication skills are expected.
