Postdoctoral Position in innate and adaptive immune responses to HIV and other viruses
A Postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Nathaniel Landau in the Department of Microbiology at the NYU School of Medicine (www.landau-lab.org). The successful applicant will join an NIH-funded research team that uses state-of-the-art methods of molecular biology, biochemistry and cell biology to address questions in virology and immunology. Research projects address host restrictions to HIV replication, viral accessory proteins, the innate and adaptive immune response to HIV infection and development of gene therapy based approaches to treat HIV infection. NYU SoM offers a rich scientific and intellectual environment and opportunities for collaborative projects.
The candidate must be highly motivated and interested to join an interactive and diverse research group. The candidate must hold a Ph.D. and have a background in molecular biology with previous publications biomedical research. Salaries are competitive and and include benefits.
