　　Job Description

　　The laboratory of Dr. Dennis Hallahan and Dr. Dinesh Thotala seeks to appoint a post-doctoral scientist at Washington University in Saint Louis, in the department of Radiation Oncology. We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated scientist to work on drug discovery project. The candidate will work with a highly collaborative team of scientists to conceive, design, plan and implement experiments and assays to develop peptides and antibodies to novel anti-cancer targets.

　　The appointee will work using a combination of molecular biology, biochemistry and genetic approaches. The project will focus on antibody and peptide development and would need knowledge in variety of biochemical, molecular biology and immunological assays. The drugs are validated using preclinical models and hence experience with mouse models are highly desirable.

　　Prerequisites:

　　• A graduate with a PhD in Molecular biology, Biochemistry, Cancer biology or a related field

　　• A strong publication record

　　• Ability to design and conduct experiments independently

　　• Experience with molecular biology or biochemical techniques

　　• Ability to write manuscripts and fellowship applications, and present their research at national meetings

　　• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

　　• Experience with mouse models and cellular immunology

　　Preferred:

　　• Experience in Radiation biology and or antibody development

　　• Experience in Drug development and or protein purification

　　• Experience in CRISPR-Cas9 technology, genomics and/or proteomics

　　While funding will be provided for this position, the appointee will be encouraged to write and apply for outside funding in order to help career development.
