　　Job Description

　　The Postdoctoral Fellow position is available immediately in the Department of Immuno-Oncology at Beckman Research Institute in City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center, to explore mechanism of immune evasion in hematologic malignancies and to develop novel immunotherapeutic strategies. We seek applications from candidates with expertise in cancer immunotherapy and/or tumor immunology, with strong interests in translational research in animal models of human malignancies as well as in clinical studies. The environment of Beckman Research Institute is highly collaborative and these projects will involve multiple collaboration within the Brain Tumor Program at City of Hope and core laboratories across our Institution. Highly motivated individuals with strong communication skills and ability to work in high paced, multidisciplinary environment are invited to apply.

　　Key Responsibilities include:

　　The ideal candidate will be able to work independently on molecular and cellular mechanisms of immunosuppression in humanized and syngeneic mouse tumor models utilizing the original oligonucleotide-based approaches for targeting tolerogenic signaling.

　　They can also participate in the ongoing clinical translation of the immunogenic CpG-STAT3 inhibitors to cancer immunotherapy.

　　They will be responsible for drafting manuscripts, progress reports and presenting the results internally as well as extramurally when needed.

　　Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:

　　A Ph.D. degree in life or biomedical sciences, or a related discipline is required.

　　Preferred education experience and skills:

　　Skills in multicolor flow cytometry and/or animal studies.
