　　Job Description

　　The Blankenberg Lab in the Genomic Medicine Institute at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute has Postdoctoral Fellowships available. We utilize high-throughput omics technologies, such as next generation sequencing, and data-intensive computing to explore biomedical research questions. The PI is a founding member of the Galaxy Project (https://galaxyproject.org), a platform that is used throughout the world for large-scale data analysis.

　　We are particularly interested in individuals with extensive experience with statistics, data analysis, and visualization using Open Source frameworks. Candidates must be fluent in R and/or Python programming languages.

　　Previous experience developing interactive R Shiny apps, or using other frameworks, will be viewed particularly favorably.

　　Additional preference will be given to individuals with experience in analysis of biological high-throughput datasets, especially sequencing and mass-spec based datasets, and to applicants with interest and experience in e.g. bioinformatics or computational biology in relation to cancer and metagenomic/microbiome derived datasets. Although previous, domain-specific experience is not strictly necessary.

　　Candidates will be highly motivated, ambitious, enthusiastic, and be able to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
